Save time with an FAQ

logo web graphic design faq

Once you’ve been providing a service for a while you inevitably get asked the same standard questions time and time again. Having an FAQ on your website with your most commonly asked questions is a great time saver for you, and for your potential clients.

While the exact questions will obviously vary depending on your particular service, some common questions might include:

  • How much will their project cost? As no two projects ( or designers ) are the same, chances are you can’t answer this question in a simple design X costs Y format, but it’s still worth including.

It will help clients understand you’re not grabbing some generic design off the shelf, and that the price will reflect their specific needs.

  • Payment terms. Do you require a deposit? If so, how much? What methods of payment do you accept?

Especially for larger companies where budgets and spending approval can be fairly rigid, the sooner this is established the sooner work can begin.

  • What / how will they receive their design? Despite being common knowledge to designers, many potential clients won’t be overly familiar with industry standard formats such as .EPS, .AI, .ID and .PDF.

Then there’s deadlines, printing, web hosting, meetings and the list goes on. By covering the basics, chances are that when a client comes looking the answer they are searching will already be there. Saving you the time of answering the same questions, and giving your potential client an immediate answer.

Be sure to have your contact details available too though.

An FAQ is no substitute for a real conversation and no one likes feeling like they’ve been palmed off to some page to find there answers.
