I’m not usually a fan of the whole swirly-vector style of illustration that gets used over and over for everything, but this series by Si Scott deserves a mention.

The rear logo in solid gold has 53 flawless diamonds amounting to 1ct and the front navigation button is home to a single cut very rare diamond at 7.1 cts.

Every so often a major brand causes a stir within the design community. A new logo design is seeming disliked by all, but despite crushing reviews and predictions of doom, these brands have the power to turn anything into a ubiquitous symbol in time.
It’s easy to look at the before and after of a logo design and not like it, but what about after it’s had a year or two (and a few million dollars) of branding and advertising behind it?
