This is just a little tip for your own fun, or a clients added satisfaction.
At the time of writing, the current wordpress version is 2.7.1, to change the logo displayed in your login panel open the file /wp-admin/images/logo-login.gif and replace it with your own logo. Some older versions used the files login-bkg-tile.gif and login-bkg-bottom.gif, and future versions may change again so you may have to look for these files instead if you are running a different version.
Changing your wordpress login screen is a 10 second job that just helps to make your wordpress login panel feel like home.

Quality over quantity
When you’re new to blogging it’s all too tempting to put up as many articles as you can as quickly as you can, to get your site going. You find events or articles that are slightly related to the main focus of your site, you write them up and on they go.
If you can resist the temptation, you’re far better off writing a few longer, quality articles than chucking up a dozen youtube videos with a quick ” I found this interesting video about… ” beneath them.
Firstly these pages hold so little content that search engines wont be interested in them and wont help the visibility of your site anywhere near as much as a few in depth articles.
Secondly it will soon become apparent to any readers that your site is currently a collection of links without anything original and they’ll likely just head to youtube and look for these same videos without you.
Finally, as your blogging skills increase and you begin writing quality posts, you’ll may find these quickie articles no longer add anything to your site and end up removing them.

It can be tough to find a good wordpress theme among the sea of choices out there. Here are a few choice selections by Alex over at Template Lite.
All the themes are free for personal use only ( with some restrictions ) and so i picked a few that were a bit less professional and a bit more personal.Starting with the above pictured Coffee Desk, happy hunting.

Watercolor. Available here.

Photoframe. Available here.
There’s more where that came from.
Don’t forget to head over to Templates Lite if none of these take your fancy.
