Raising the bar
Posted April 25th, 2009.
Shown here is a small showcase of logo designs using solid bars only. This makes for a simple, memorable & scalable logo, everything a logo should be. Starting above with the logo for The Mill, designed by North Design 1993.

Logo for The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, designed by Tim Blackburn & Matthew Carter in 2003.

Logo for MIT Press, designed by Muriel Cooper in 1963.

Logo for the Haunch of Venison galleries, designed by Spin.

And finally the logo of piano technician Mika Ohtsuki, by Emmi in 2005.
Do you think these logos work?
What other styles of logo would you like to see?
