You may have seen a version of these floating around which looked to be promotions for The Smithsonian Museum. They are in fact a series of self promotional work from the team at An Erratic Perspective. The Smithsonian Museum reference was initially included to make the posters more authentic, but removed to avoid confusion after the posters viral popularity on the internet. In any event, the series deserves a mention.

I don’t remember Andrew Jackson having a parrot, but I can still imagine it swearing.

  2. Jason Fonceca says:

These are fun, creative, and make an awesome point about scale and “it all being done before.”

I’m surprised there aren’t more comments. Rock on!

  3. CBO says:

    These are awesome.

  4. Richard says:

I love these, there are some great other ones too.

  5. Arty says:

The one about Genghis Khan is most interesting, I think :)

  6. James says:

I do like these, a lot. Just makes me squirm because I read the Teddy Roosevelt one before the Bret Mitchells/Ghengis Kahn one – as if to suggest “getting with” lots of women is cool. Must be the old fuddy duddy that I am!

Love the general premise/design though of the posters though.

  7. Carl says:

I believe Roosevelt actually got shot as he was about to start the speech? Cool posters though.

  8. Hank says:

Not quite historically accurate, but still :)

  9. Alex says:

0.5% chance of being related to Genghis Khan is a more accurate figure, still pretty amazing though!
