10 thoughtful comments on “Right brain vs left brain”

  1. Beautiful drawings and design. Very nicely put together. These look like 3 different artists have tackled the same subject with the same starting point. Love it.

  2. Robert says:

Wow, this is awesome! Thanks for sharing, stumbled….

  3. This is amazing ~ so glad I stumbled across it!

  4. Michael Lange Ocala says:

All but the last one sort of downplay the poor left-brainers, ha.

  5. Looking7Glass says:

I’m a right brainer myself, but I can’t help and see how biased these ‘artist’ representations are. Just because someone is left brained, doesn’t mean they aren’t creative or have colour in their lives.

People that are left brained do tend to love art and music just as much as a right brained individual. The thing with left-brained people though, is that they look at things logically. Right brainers act on their emotions and feelings, left brainers act on what makes sense and what is tangible.

I just feel that the right brain artists that created this of course took liberties in thinking they are better because they are ‘artistic’. Left brain people are just as interesting.

  6. Left Brained says:

Thank you Looking7Glass. I agree that these renditions are clearly biased. The artists don’t understand the beauty of logical thinking and categorization. Science is amazingly beautiful. Just because it can be explained doesn’t make it less special.

  7. James says:

If both sides we’re represented with color then people would prb. complain about that.

Visually how else would you represent Logic vs Visual? The pretty much nailed it.

The last is the best one.

  8. Ben says:

The third one’s best at pointing out the strong points of the left brain. It doesn’t only show structure, but also how beautiful that can be. As for the right side, it is obviously easier for an artist to be creative with that, because all three versions are great.

  9. Aaron says:

Love how these works of art will most likely be done with someone whom is a right sided thinker in respect to the brain! GO RIGHTYS!

  10. Viv says:

Well let’s remember that this is an extreme simplification of the various operations performed by the two hemispheres. It’s not quite as straightforward as “I’m right-brained” “I’m left-brained”. This is more or less pop psychology.
