As a graphic designer and a bit of a whiskey connoisseur, when visiting the bottle-shop for a treat I often find myself wandering around, browsing the logos, labels and packaging design in the whiskey section.

Running low on inspiration? You just need a good dose of imagination.

Every time my partner and I go shopping, I invariably end up getting distracted by the packaging designs and wander off to browse the isles. Green & Blacks Organic Chocolate label design provided the most appealing distraction this week.

Disaster has struck! It’s 8:00 in the morning, it’s Easter Sunday ( a public holiday ), all the shops are closed for the day and I’m out of coffee. Some good graphic design will have to get me going instead.

Spice up those boring old barcodes on your product packaging with a little creative design.

Even if you’ve never had a drink in your life, your sure to know the Absolut’s Vodka bottle. And whether or not it’s the best Vodka on the shelf, it’s certainly the most recognisable.

I love my coffee in the morning, and if it should come in a wonderfully illustrated package, that’s all the better.

If you’re not Australian you probably didn’t get the Mr. Squiggle reference, sorry for the bad joke. I’ll make it up to you with some great design.
